Disciplines: Printmaking

Location: East Lothian

Materials: Lino Print, Stitched, Watercolour
Printmaking, Watercolour painting and Quilting are my passions. While still working I attended Botanical Art classes at the Royal Botanical Gardens Edinburgh, taught by Eve Reid Bennett and Lizzie Sanders. Their inspiration led me into more general sketching and painting especially on walking holidays in Scotland or abroad. Classes in printmaking more recently with Lisa Hooper and Laura Boswell have allowed me to explore new ways of making images. Prints are inspired by my sketchbooks and photographs done here or in Europe and Morrocco. Moving to Aberlady and becoming part of a village group of artists and creators has been great fun and participating in our Open Studios event last year was a wonderful experience. I use and sales to support the charities Children First and The Scottish Refugee Council.
