Caitlin

Hegney

Caitlin is a Scottish designer and jewellery maker creating in precious and semi-precious metal that resonates with the ancient past and how humans have interacted with the land through time. Caitlin is based in Helensburgh Argyll, on the West coast of Scotland. Caitlin looks for rhythms and patterns that transcend ancient times, interpreting them for the present day. Drawing is at the roots of her practice using hand-made tools to translate the expressive quality of her sketches into metal. She puts her own spin on traditional craft processes of chasing, filigree and lost wax casting.

Disciplines: Jewellery
