Anna Mitchell is visual artist creating work in a variety of media from her studio in the North East of Scotland. Her work is inspired by and derived from the constantly changing seasonal environment. The often overlooked details glimpsed on daily walks in all weathers are fundamental to the work. From shadows of seedheads, to rain wet stones or sunlit newly unfurled leaves. She translates the transient everyday through drawing, collage, printmaking or stitch redefining a mere memory into a tangible existence.

Previous Experience

Grays School of Art 1997-2001 BA (Hons) Fine Art Printmaking. Peacock Visual Arts graduate internship editioning 2001-2002. Co founder Frost Pocket Press 2019. Featured in Homes and Interiors Scotland magazine 2001, degree show feature. Work in Public collections including Grampian Hospital Arts Trust, The Robert Gordon University Collection, Edinburgh Collage AB-Z Collection, The National Library of Scotland, Rare Books Collection at the Borthwick Institute University of York.
