30×30 Call Out
VAS Annual Show at RSA Galleries, Edinburgh, January 2027

Once again VAS invites members to submit work for our popular 30×30 display at our 2027 Annual Exhibition. 

This is a chance for members to showcase and sell some of their smaller artworks within our biggest show of the year at the Royal Academy building in Edinburgh. Our 30×30 display is always a treat for exhibiting artists and visiting members of the public, shining a light on the varied and talented miniatures that our membership creates. There are always plenty of hidden gems within this portion of the show and we look forward to welcoming these wee treasures.

Key Information 

• Opportunity is open to VAS members only.
• Maximum 2 works per artist.
• Price of work is capped at £250, as this is notable an affordable section of the exhibition.
• Work should be recent, created within the last 2 years.
• All work should be presented in a precisely 30x30cm format.
• Work on paper should be presented on a good quality backing card.
• If presented in a card mount, the mount should be of professional quality.
• Maximum thickness of 2-3mm (no canvasses on stretchers can be accepted).
• Work should be wrapped in clear cellophane to protect it whilst it is on display on shelves or in print racks.
• Work should be clearly labelled on the back providing minimum information of artist name, title of work, price of work.

Please ensure you complete the following Google Form to register your work. Please send/ drop off the pieces as detailed on the information form (no replacements will be accepted). This enables the VAS team to track the work as it arrives and is on show.

Drop Off
In person or by post by Friday December 18th. This open call if for our Annual Exhibition at the Royal Scottish Academy only – work will not be held past this show. Please send your work to the following address:

If delivering by hand, please bring directly to the RSA building upper galleries (via rear entrance) on Sunday 3rd January.

Collection
All 30×30 work should be collected from the RSA upper galleries at close of the exhibition on Friday 5th February 10am – 12 noon or Saturday 6th February 10am-12 noon. If you are unable to collect from the gallery, the work will be returned to the Drill Hall studio and artists can book ahead to collect from there or organise alternative plans.
