Fanzhi

Wei

Fanzhi Wei is a London-based multidisciplinary artist working across printmaking, drawing, fibre and sculpture. She holds an MA in Fine Art from Kingston University and a BA in Painting from Sichuan Fine Arts Institute. Her practice explores the relationship between the body, material and traces of presence. Working with both traditional and intimate materials, including etching, hair and fibre, Wei considers themes of embodiment, memory, absence and everyday experience. Her work has been exhibited in the UK, including through printmaking exhibitions and artist-led platforms. She is currently developing her practice in London, with an interest in expanding the relationship between print, sculpture and material-based processes.
