Corfield

I make abstract art work for the wall using mixed media with free machine stitch. The starting place for all of my works is somewhere in the natural world. I am trying to express how it feels to be there and also to explore the natural, organic forms and textures. My work is collaged, layered and built up gradually to get the effects I want, using a wide variety of fragments of both fabric and paper, many of which are recycled. My studio is open to visitors in Kirkcudbright, Dumfries and Galloway.
