Trees are a favourite subject for my printmaking. Mostly photopolymer prints – I make the plates from drawings on plastic film. The drawings are done in Japanese Sumi-e ink – I can make some interesting marks with this highly pigmented ink. I make the plates at Edinburgh Printmakers and then bring them back up north to print out on my studio printing press.
