Shanglin

Li

Shanglin’s practice begins with attention to the everyday — “pauses, repetitive actions,” and states in between. These “non-events” reveal a fluid experience of time, in which the body becomes more acutely aware of its surroundings. Her work spans installation, painting, and material-based practices, exploring temporal gaps through layering and transformation. She amplifies what is often overlooked, rendering silence and transitional moments perceptible. Her work constructs a sensory field where time can be stretched, fractured, or suspended—inviting everyday experience to be re-examined and re-felt.

Disciplines: Painting

Location: Glasgow

Materials: Acrylic, Pastel, Pencil
