Debbie

Lee

Debbie Lee creates mixed media textile and stitched work, celebrating the beauty and joy of Scottish landscapes. Her work is developed using layering techniques. First paint, then collage (fabric and paper), before adding a layer of translucent fabric and machine embroidery, before cutting back into the work to reveal the lower layers. Finally she embellishes with hand stitching. The resulting work is both considered and intuitive. Debbie graduated from Glasgow School of art in 1992 she has had several successful solo shows
