Brandy

Godsil

Brandy Godsil is a textile artist and couturier. Brandy received her BFA in Textiles and Experimental Fashion from the Maryland Institute College of Art. She completed the Advanced Fashion Design study abroad, Intermediate Fashion Design Portfolio course, and Experimental Fashion Design online course from Central Saint Martins and the Program Summer abroad from Parsons School of Design in New York. Brandy completed the Ós residency at the Icelandic Textile Center in May 2023, and a two week textile residency at Texere in Oaxaca, Mexico in January 2023. She is co-founder and advisor of non profit weaving arts organization Intertwine Arts where she teaches weaving, fiber arts, and sewing to people with disabilities around the U.S.

Beauty Without Intentions: Loop of the Loom 10th Anniversary Show; New York, NY April 2015 Curator, Designer, and organizer for the show. Created Kickstarter to raise funds for the event. Showcased collaboration garments made by fashion designers in NYC and weavers in Japan.
