A practice shaped by the rhythms of nature, the instinctive intelligence of the hive, and the enduring transformations of the world around us. Work unfolds in the spaces between—thresholds where structure meets intuition, earth meets sky, and form dissolves into pattern. Drawing lays the foundation, guiding explorations into sculpture, painting, and assemblage. Layers of symbolism, abstraction, and suggestions of the imagined within the real reveal hidden connections, inviting reflection and wonder. At its heart, the work seeks to hold space for mystery, interconnectedness, and vitality—celebrating the resilience of natural systems, the vital presence of bees, and the liminal moments that shape experience. I grew up on the Isle of Skye, where I now live and work, deeply connected to its mountains, rivers, and hills. The island’s landscapes, its archaeological past, and the threads of myth and story that run through it continue to shape and inspire my practice. I studied Fine Art at Gray’s School of Art in Aberdeen before returning to Skye, where my studio gallery is open to visitors.
