Teacher of Art and Design since 1971
Principal Teacher in Kelso High School since 1978

I live and paint in the Borders village of Yetholm .
My paintings relate to travel… places visited and remembered .

Sources are environmental…natural or built… often beautiful but sometimes disturbing and threatening.

The past few years have been given over to teaching and although I have continued to paint I have exhibited very little. As I approach retirement from teaching I am preparing for it by showing more work and establishing connections with galleries. At present my work may be seen at Hanover Fine Art in Edinburgh, The Flat Cat Gallery in Lauder, The Smokehouse Gallery in Eyemouth, The Red Barn Gallery in Cumbria and Kranenburg Fine Art in Oban.
