I have been weaving ever since I can remember, drawn to the texture of woven and natural forms in the landscape. Many of my weavings are inspired by Scottish mountains, coastlines and buildings others by the natural forms from around the world.

Since 1989 I have been specializing in using fibres dyed with fungi most of which is sourced in Scotland. The colours range from rich purples, reds and golds and produce complimentary hues when the dyed fibres are manipulated.

To further my knowledge I have attended the International Fungi and Fibre Artists Symposia in Europe; USA and Australia. The Australian experience was a wonderful contrast to the colours and textures of Scotland and led to an exploration of my own dreamtime and walkabout journeys. I designed the Trishary travel loom for textile artists and weavers.
