Invited Artists
Delineation through architectural study and structural design is at the heart of our three invited artists and whose work we are thrilled to present at CONVERGE 2016.
Steven MacIver is re-presenting NEXUS, a major ambitious work, originally shown at the Dillon Gallery, New York which explores and translates Steven’s obsessive linear paintings into a giant three-dimensional installation using thousands of gold and silver threads. Sam Johnson adopts a conceptual approach to problem solving to given challenges and design briefs.
For CONVERGE Sam is going to create new work in response to visits to Edinburgh in 2015.
Andrew Mackenzie makes drawings and paintings which explore personal responses to the relationship between the constructed landscape and perceptions of nature. He is presenting three new large scale drawings made especially for CONVERGE.
