  • Biography
I live near Thornhill in Dumfriesshire and am fascinated by the local landscape and by the River Nith. This has become the focus of my current work in which I attempt to give a feel for the beauty of the landscape and the setting of the river within it. My approach to painting is loose and impressionistic whether working in watercolours, acrylics or oils. I tend to work quickly, aiming to capture the essence of the subject with colour, light and movement.
