Using sound and animation I like to create immersive films that the viewer can experience in an almost meditative state. This reflects my interest in the sensory, therapeutic potential of both digital media technology and physical environments. Sound and song play a vital role in my working process and often form the inspiration to start a work. Performing and recording music lends an improvisatory feel that allows me to work with relationships between rhythm and form. I have recently begun exploring sound further in outdoor environments, creating sculptures that respond to the subtle interactions of weather, material and sound.
