Jonathan Rose

I am committed to creativity and developing furniture. I enjoy unusual and useful design and engaging with people who share that passion.

From an early age I grew my own wood craft skills which have been part of my family for five generations.

Working for over 30 years in industry I learnt problem solving skills and an open approach to ideas. During leisure time I built up a small workshop, initially as a way of furnishing my home and later making special pieces for friends. I have spent over 40 years reading, observing and practicing working with wood.

In 2010 I started working on commissions and speculative pieces in the North East of Scotland full time.

I am now working with manufacturers to bring fine design to a wider market.
