New Print Generation
New exhibition and events at Edinburgh Printmakers:
New Print Generation
24 March to 19 May 2012
This exhibition showcases the emerging talent of recent graduates selected from across the four Scottish Art College Degree Shows. These artists have been chosen for their innovative use of print within their artistic practice, which spans a wide variety of printmaking techniques as well as installation, sculptural work and artist books.
This exhibition also features work by graduate artists created on the New Print Generation (NPG) programme, set up by Edinburgh Printmakers to support recent graduate artists, who have each been given bespoke training in the studio as well as an opportunity to collaborate with our Master Printers, to produce an edition published by Edinburgh Printmakers and premiered during this exhibition.

This Entomophagy bug lunch is an event that will tingle your taste buds.
Come along, be brave, and sample a range of savoury and sweet homemade treats, which are considered a delicacy in Asia and Latin America. Entomophagy is an alternative food source, which has sustained many societies for centuries. This lunch aims to emulate these traditions in a modern way and display the versatility and importance that insects play in the future diet of mankind.

An introduction to the exhibition and the NPG programme by Edinburgh Printmakers’ Master Printer of Etching, Bronwen Sleigh, and short talks by each of the participating artists, giving an insight into their work.
