Hester Gallery are very pleased to be showing, for the first time, a selection of paintings by the Scottish figurative painter Audrey Grant.

In his review of the Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts Annual Exhibition in the Scotsman, esteemed art critic Duncan Macmillan described Audrey Grant’s work Standing Woman and Landscape as ‘touchingly austere’

He touches on two essential elements of Grant’s stirringly poetic work: the solitary, isolated often vulnerable human form and its relationship with the space in which it exists.
